I Made My Clothes

It is Fashion Revolution Week, and I make my clothes.

On 24 April 2013, the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh collapsed. 1,138 people died and another 2,500 were injured, making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in history. That’s when Fashion
Revolution was born. There were five garment factories in Rana Plaza all manufacturing clothing for the western market. The victims were mostly young women.

Quotes and Facts.

  1. Yes that was such a disaster I agree, Deb. Some good came out of it in a way as it made people aware of where some of their clothes were made and at what cost to others. You have made such a lot of clothes recently so perhaps you should just 'retire' from work. LOL!

  2. I am really impressed that you make your own clothes Deb. The collapsing of that building was a terrible tragedy. So many people work in such terrible conditions.
