Op Shopping

I recently volunteered to work at the Lifeline Op Shop.  There was a sign on the doors asking for volunteers to work weekends, makes no difference to me, so I signed up.  Now I work on Saturdays from 9:00am to 2:00pm.  What a mistake joy that is.  I can't help buying more goods can I?  We are allowed three (3) items to purchase on our volunteer days and get a very small discount to boot.

So below is the collection so far.

Summer dress $3.00 a well know brand.

Rugby knit, 2m.

Nylon gauze to make vege bags

Muslin wrap to make this top with dark blue sleeves

Cotton Pullover, for those cool nights.

Cream heavy cotton throw.

Two novels

Four white/cream plates.
This weekend, I am NOT BUYING MORE. 🤣🤣🤣

Life's Tribulations

It has been quite a period of time since I last posted.  L I F E. 😢

My life seems to be crumbling away bit by bit. Out of the blue my partner of 24 years told me it was over and I need to move out, he is being generous by letting me stay in my home until year's end at the least.  So there it is, no hope of counseling, or trying to repair, finished kaput.

For now I am still on unpaid leave, but have changed my transfer options and regularly looking and applying for positions.  The desire to return to my workplace is nil, really cannot go back to that environment.  The unfortunate thing is I may have to bite the bullet and return before my extended leave is over.  Unemployment is not an option.

So life goes on.  Have recently started volunteering at a local Op Shop on Saturdays and the occasional Sunday.  It fills in time and I get out of the house, talk to other adults, laugh with the volunteers and pretend that I know what in the heck I am doing.

Plan to get back in to my sewing soon, have such a large stash of fabric that needs to do more than sit in the blanket box.
